    Whenever I boot up my computer and log in, it shows the number of days remaining on my antivirus software. Perhaps your computer does the same. In this story a computer shows the number of days remaining on something, but that something turns out not to be the antivirus software or any other application on the computer. When the computer's owner takes the computer to a technician, the technician can find nothing wrong with it, but jokingly makes a suggestion as to what it is counting down to. A chilling suggestion. And, what's more, that suggestion proves to be true.

Of course we hope they never duplicate the results of the experiment in this story. It would be scary if they did.
